Every day’s data protected. Restored in one action.
IBIOS backs up your entire business database automatically every day — customers, quotes, orders, products, audit logs, knowledge base — and lets you restore any point in time with a single confirmed action.
Daily backups kept off the live server. Rolling retention. Granular record restore. Atomic rollback if anything goes wrong.
Quotes deleted by mistake. No backup. Gone.
For businesses running custom software, database corruption or accidental bulk-delete events are rare — but when they happen, the consequences are severe. Quotes in progress, customer contact histories, installer schedules, and supplier order records can all disappear without a recovery path.
Plenty of small business software has no built-in backup. The responsibility falls to the owner to remember to export data manually — which rarely happens consistently. When something goes wrong, the options are “start again” or an expensive emergency recovery engagement.
IBIOS runs automatic encrypted backups daily and keeps a rolling set of restore points without requiring any owner action. Recovery is self-service, atomic, and verified.
Backup and restore at a glance
What does one-click backup and restore cover?
Protection across every part of your IBIOS data, with the controls to recover precisely what you need — whether that’s one deleted record or the entire database.
Kept off the live server
Backup archives are copied away from the live server, so a fault on that server does not take your backups with it.
Rolling retention
IBIOS keeps a rolling set of daily backups. You can restore to any day in that window — useful for recovering from data errors discovered days after they occurred.
Granular record restore
Restore a single customer, quote, or order from any backup point without touching the rest of your live data. No full rollback needed for small recovery jobs.
Restore verification
After every restore IBIOS runs a checksum verification across the recovered records and reports the result. You see a confirmed row count before the restore is marked complete.
Admin panel notifications
Backup success and failure alerts appear in the Admin panel and can be sent by email to the account owner. A failed backup never silently disappears.
Atomic full restore
A full database restore is a single atomic operation — either everything comes back or nothing changes.
How do you restore a deleted record?
Deleted records can be restored from the recycle bin. If a record was deleted by mistake, you can find it there and restore it without touching a backup or anything else in your live data.
IBIOS also keeps a merge and delete history, so you can see which records were merged together and which were deleted. So when someone asks “where has that customer gone?” the answer is on screen, not a guess. Backups are still there for bigger recoveries; the recycle bin is for the everyday slip. Customer records themselves live in the IBIOS CRM, and for the wider record of who did what, see the audit trail.
Set up once. Runs every night.
Schedule set once
Choose your daily backup window in Admin → Backup Settings. IBIOS runs automatically from that point forward without any further action.
Backup runs and verifies
IBIOS backs up your business database, compresses and encrypts the archive, uploads it to your cloud storage bucket, then runs a verification checksum and logs the result.
Browse restore points
Open Admin → Backups to see a dated list of available archives. Each entry shows backup type (auto or manual), size, and verification status. Click any row to preview its contents.
Restore with one action
Select a restore point and click Restore. Confirm the action. IBIOS decrypts the archive, applies the restore atomically, verifies the result, and notifies you when complete.
Restore confidence, not just data
Atomic restore — all or nothing
If a restore encounters any error mid-process, IBIOS rolls back completely and leaves your live system unchanged. There is no partial state where some records are restored and others are not.
Backup verification on every run
After each backup completes, IBIOS verifies the archive checksum and logs the result. If verification fails, you are notified immediately — a corrupted backup is never silently accepted as valid.
Separate storage from your database
Backup archives are stored in a separate cloud bucket from your primary database server. A server hardware failure does not touch your backup files, and a backup storage breach cannot reach your live database.
Full audit trail on every restore
Every backup and restore action is recorded in the IBIOS audit log with the acting user, timestamp, and outcome. You have a complete record of when each recovery action was taken and by whom.
Questions about backup & restore
What does the one-click backup cover?
A full IBIOS backup covers your entire business database: all customers, jobs, quotes, quote line items, products, supplier records, orders, users, roles, audit logs, and knowledge base articles. It also includes your uploaded assets — quote PDFs, product images, and document attachments. The backup produces a single encrypted archive that can be restored to an identical state without any partial recovery risk.
How often does IBIOS back up automatically?
IBIOS runs an automatic encrypted backup daily at a time you configure — typically overnight to avoid any performance impact on daytime operations. Manual backups can be triggered at any time from the Admin panel, for example before a major price list import or a system update. Each backup is timestamped and labelled so you can identify the exact point in time it represents.
Where are backups stored?
Backups are stored in your dedicated cloud storage bucket, separate from the primary database server. This means a database server failure does not affect your backup files. IBIOS keeps a rolling window of daily backups. You can also download any backup archive directly to local storage from the Admin panel.
How long does a restore take?
Restore time depends on the size of your database. The restore process is atomic: either all data comes back completely or the restore rolls back, leaving your live system unchanged. There is no partial or corrupted intermediate state. Staff receive a status notification when the restore finishes.
Can I restore a single record rather than the whole database?
Granular record-level restore is available for customer records, quote versions, and supplier orders. From the Admin panel, you can browse a backup archive, locate a specific record, and restore it to the live database without overwriting anything else. This is useful for recovering an accidentally deleted quote or a customer record that was merged incorrectly. Full database restores remain available for major recovery scenarios.
Which IBIOS products does backup protect?
Backup and restore covers every IBIOS product line, including the IBIOS CRM where your customer records live. It is used most by general builders and wholesale and trade suppliers. See also: restoring after an incident.
IBIOS (Integrated Business Intelligence & Operations System) is made by IBIOS Limited (NI743167), Northern Ireland. Access is by waiting list; there is no free trial.
