Field service software linked to every job.
IBIOS Field Scheduler is field service and job management software for UK trade businesses that survey, supply and install. Schedule visits and installations linked to the job, then follow them on the schedule board. Assign fitters and record access notes, all from the job record. Coming soon: a field tracker for fitters out on jobs, an alert if a delivery is going to arrive after the fitting date, and customer text updates.
How do you schedule installations around supplier deliveries?
Scheduling an installation is straightforward. Scheduling it so that all the materials from several different suppliers have arrived beforehand is harder. The bath comes from one supplier. The taps from another. The tiles from a third. They each have different lead times, different warehouses, and different delivery windows.
When one of those deliveries slips — and one always does — the fitter arrives on a morning they cannot work. You lose a day, you reschedule the fitter, you apologise to the customer, and you arrange a return visit. The cost of a missed delivery day is not just the missed day — it is the rescheduling, the second visit, and the customer who will tell their neighbours.
IBIOS Field Scheduler links the installation date to the job, so the visit, the fitter and the customer are in one place. Coming soon: late-delivery alerts, so that if a supplier delivery date moves past the installation date, IBIOS will alert you in advance — not on the morning of the install.
IBIOS is installation scheduling software for UK trade businesses, made by IBIOS Limited (NI743167), Northern Ireland; access is by waiting list and there is no free trial. What does IBIOS field service software include?
Late-delivery alerts (coming soon)
Coming soon: set an arrival-before-installation flag on any supplier order, and IBIOS will monitor the delivery date against the fitting date and alert you if there is a conflict.
Fitter assignment
Assign fitters from your IBIOS user list. Fitters see their schedule from their own login without accessing customer financial data.
Survey and installation dates
Record survey dates, installation dates, and any follow-up visits on the same job record. Full history in one place.
Access notes
Record site access details on the job — gate codes, parking restrictions, contact on site — so the fitter has everything they need before they leave.
Customer notification (coming soon)
Coming soon: send the customer a text confirming their installation date, linked to the job and timestamped in the record.
Calendar view
The schedule board shows all scheduled visits filtered by fitter, date range, or job status. See the week at a glance without checking individual job records.

What do people ask about IBIOS Field Scheduler?
Is IBIOS field service software or job management software?
Both, for installation-led work. Each survey, visit and installation is scheduled against a job record that also holds the quote, supplier orders and payments. If your work is mostly short engineer callouts, a dedicated field service management suite may suit you better; a field tracker for fitters is coming soon in IBIOS.
Can IBIOS alert me if a supplier delivery is going to miss the installation date?
Coming soon. Late-delivery alerts are not live yet. When they launch, you will set an arrival-before-installation flag on each supplier order linked to the job, IBIOS will check the expected delivery date against the installation date, and if the delivery date moves past the installation date, IBIOS will send an alert so you can contact the supplier or reschedule the installation in advance.
Can fitters see their own schedule without seeing customer pricing?
Yes. Fitters have their own IBIOS login with a role that shows job details — address, access notes, installation date — but not customer pricing or profit margins. Access is role-controlled.
Does IBIOS Field Scheduler work for survey appointments as well as installations?
Yes. Survey dates and installation dates are separate fields on the job record. Both appear in the calendar view. Late-delivery alerts for survey appointments linked to supplier lead times are coming soon.
Can I use IBIOS Field Scheduler without the supplier order module?
Yes. The arrival-before-installation alerts (coming soon) will require the Order Management module. But the scheduling, fitter assignment and access notes work independently. You can use Field Scheduler on its own if your business does not use IBIOS for supplier ordering.
Does IBIOS notify customers about installation date changes?
Not automatically yet. Customer text (SMS) updates from IBIOS are coming soon. Today, when an installation date changes, the new date is saved on the job record and your team lets the customer know.
