Enquiries keep coming after you close. Are you there for them?
The IBIOS Receptionist is coming soon and is not live yet — this scenario shows how it will work. Bathroom shoppers browse in the evening and call when inspired. IBIOS will answer their calls outside your opening hours, with no additional staff cost. Callers will get a prompt, professional response instead of voicemail.
Why do trade businesses miss so many evening and weekend calls?
The working patterns of bathroom buyers do not align with the working hours of bathroom businesses. A couple deciding on a renovation sits down together after the kids are in bed, browses options in the evening, gets excited, and calls. Your team finished work hours ago. The call rings out.
Weekend browsing is equally significant. Saturday and Sunday afternoons represent a material chunk of inbound trade enquiries for bathroom and tile businesses. If your phone is on voicemail from Saturday lunchtime, you are invisible to a significant portion of your potential customers at their most engaged moment.
Hiring a receptionist to cover evenings and weekends is not viable at the scale of most trade businesses. The cost would exceed the incremental revenue from the calls answered. IBIOS will change this arithmetic entirely: calls answered outside your opening hours (coming soon) with no recruitment, no training, and no sick days.

How will AI after-hours call answering work (coming soon)?
Not a different experience for callers: the same professional, informed response when your team can’t pick up.
Answering when you can’t
Coming soon: the AI Receptionist will answer the calls your team cannot take, including after you close, so fewer calls end up in voicemail.
Handles the full range of enquiries
Coming soon: quote requests, product availability questions, appointment bookings, directions, opening hours, existing job updates — the AI will handle all of these using live data from your IBIOS system.
Emergency routing when it matters
Coming soon: genuine emergencies — a burst pipe, a flooding bathroom, an urgent installation issue — will be detected from the caller’s language and routed immediately to your on-call staff mobile. You define what counts as an emergency.
Every AI-handled call logged
Coming soon: all AI-handled call activity will be logged to your IBIOS CRM: caller name, number, enquiry type, time, and any booking or message taken. Nothing falls through the cracks.
The expected result: no missed enquiry window
Callers who ring outside your opening hours will get the same experience as daytime callers: answered promptly, handled professionally, given useful information, and logged in your CRM for follow-up. Your team will arrive in the morning to a complete picture of every enquiry since they left, not a list of missed calls with no context.
What your morning will look like with IBIOS (coming soon)
“Overnight: bathroom quote requests, each with a morning callback booked. A question about tile availability, answered by AI with no follow-up needed. Everything logged in CRM with full transcripts.”
Questions about after-hours coverage
How does it sound to callers — is it obviously a robot?
The AI Receptionist is coming soon. It is designed to use natural, conversational language and respond dynamically to what the caller says. It will not follow a rigid script or sound like an automated phone menu. Most callers understand they are speaking with an AI assistant, but the experience is designed to feel professional and genuinely helpful rather than frustrating.
Can it handle different accents?
Coming soon. The underlying speech recognition will be trained on a wide range of accents, including Northern Irish, Scottish, and other UK regional accents. If the AI does not catch something clearly, it will ask the caller to repeat rather than guessing incorrectly.
What languages does it support?
The AI Receptionist is coming soon. English will be the primary language. If a caller speaks another language, the AI will acknowledge this and offer to arrange a callback with a human team member. It will not attempt to respond in a language it cannot support reliably.
How does it know your opening hours and services?
Your business hours, services offered, and standard responses are configured during onboarding and stored in your IBIOS system. Once the AI Receptionist launches (coming soon), it will read this live configuration before each call, so if you update your hours or services, it will reflect them immediately without any technical changes required.
How do you set up emergency routing to an on-call mobile?
Coming soon. You will define emergency call criteria in your IBIOS settings — for example, keywords like “leak” or “flooding.” When a call matches those criteria during out-of-hours, the system will escalate immediately: it will inform the caller that it is connecting them to an emergency line and route the call to the designated on-call mobile number.
